Ultra MPEG-4 Converter is intended to transcode video files. Its interface is very similar to those of many other media converters out there, so, you should not worry about having a hard time to use it.
The application supports processing batches of files. Therefore, it is possible to create a list of clips, which you can add as separate files and complete folders. Unluckily, it cannot import video data from other sources, such as webcams, downloads, and discs. However, it is a good thing that it supports practically every video format.
Unlike many other converters, this one has very limited editing capabilities. In this regard, the only operation available is extracting a fragment from the source video. So, there are limitations as to merging various clips, adding subtitles, changing the source soundtrack, cropping the image, and adding effects.
Good news is that there are multiple output profiles to choose from. Moreover, they have been organized according to the supported devices, which minimizes the risks of converting to an unsupported format. In addition, you can create your own personalized profiles. Another drawback of the tool, however, is that it does not allow using individual conversion profiles, so, all the files on the list have to be converted using the same output parameters.
When tested, Ultra MPEG-4 Converter produced lossless results. It is a pity that it cannot compete with other similar tools in terms of supported features.
